"The ears of the Lord of Sabaoth" (Jas. 5:4) are constantly attentive to the prayers of the righteous and to the cries of those among that number who are afflicted and oppressed. Let us seek grace that we may serve our great God acceptably with reverence and godly fear through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. --Al Stoner

III John 11
"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God" (III John 11).
"He that doeth good is of God". In this sense "doing good" is wholeheartedly receiving the reconciliation which God has provided in His beloved Son. Not to receive it, is to do evil. "Doing good" is a parallel expression to "doing truth". Jesus said to Nicodemus, "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God" (Jn. 3:21).
